Rates: Our rates may vary depending on the time of the year. There is a three-day minimum and we prefer if people book by the week.
Initial Payment: The initial payment must be received within five business days after booking your reservation. We prefer to receive 50% of the total charges to confirm the date you reserve.
Payment: All reservations are expected to be paid in full within 30 days prior to arrival unless other arrangements have been made. Reservations for dates sooner than 30 days in advance are expected to be paid in full within 5 days after booking. Checks should be made out to `Ohi`a Kai. We do accept credit cards.
Taxes: All rents are subject to a General Excise Tax of 4% and a Transient Accommodation Tax of 7.25%. Total 11.25%.
Cleaning Charge: The cleaning fee is a one-time charge. $125 for the Hale or $75 for the Cottage.
Cancellations: Written notice of cancellation must be received at least 60
days prior to your planned arrival. If written notice is received less than 30
days prior to your planned arrival, the rent and excise tax will be forfeited,
unless the unit can be re-rented for all the dates you reserved.
Map to `Ohi`a Kai: A map to the property, along with a receipt, will be
sent by e-mail or regular mail after we have received initial payment for
your reservation.
Check-in: 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: 11:00 a.m. unless prior arrangements have been made.
Phone: Please bring your cell phone, as we do not provide a “land line”.
Weekend check-in or emergencies: You may be able to reach Bob or
Marianne at 822-5955 or 651-3101. You can give our numbers to your loved
ones to contact you if there is an emergency back home. Bob and Marianne
live about ten minutes away, but can assist you in the evening or on
weekends for check-in purposes.
Late arrivals must be handled by calling 808-822-5955 or 808-651-3101.
